Water World advertises itself as “America’s Biggest. America’s Best.” I’m not sure if either one of those statements are true and have no idea how to verify them, but what I do know is that any place that hosts a shallow-diving world record attempt is A-Ok in my book. Check out this photo of Darren Taylor’s attempt, taken by Kristin Morin, one of my staff members over at YourHub.com:

He dove 35′ 5″ into a mere 12 inches of water. To break his own record. It’s not like he’s got a bunch of youngsters nipping at his heels here. He’s donning the waterproof onesie and risking torso injury just for the attention (and maybe some endorsements?) at this point.
Fun fact: he honed his craft at Casa Bonita.
And seriously, how great is that photo?
