Small Town News is a much beloved segment on David Letterman’s Late Show, and despite its eerie similarity to Leno’s Headlines, it usually has the choicest bits of newspaper hijinks. And on Wednesday, a certain local citizen journalism project/weekly newspaper section that happens to employ me made it not only into the segement, but into the big-laugh final joke! The blotter item featured (written by my buddy Seth for the Wheat Ridge section, where I started out) was printed last August, so I’m guessing the strike left quite the pile-up of clips in the Late Show office.
